Casa do Penedo is located in the Serra de Fafe, more specifically in the Union of Várzea Cova and Moreira do Rei, municipality of Fafe, in the northern region of Portugal, dimensions that integrate the very structure of the house.

Inaugurated on October 13, 1974, with an unusual building mode (initiated by the roof), it was designed to be perfectly integrated into the landscape and to serve as a family shelter. Its unique location allows for an unusual communion with nature, here we can observe and interact with native species of our fauna and flora, stargaze or simply enjoy the peace and clean mountain air.

Recently considered as the strangest house in the world, Casa do Penedo has seen its name and image reach the four corners of the world, attracting both curious as well as architectural experts and nature lovers.
